About our School
Fountaindale School believes that it takes a village to raise a child and our staff play an important role in this. Are you an energetic individual who will put young people at the centre of your work. Do you believe in our core values: Belong, Engage and Enjoy? If so, then come and join us. Take a look at our video and see what it could be like if you joined the Fountaindale Family:
We are looking for an experienced SEN practitioner that is confident developing and delivering a sensory-led, highly differentiated curriculum, and creating meaningful, engaging learning opportunities for pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
Whilst every day is different, you will be delivering personalised sensory based learning to a small class of 10 and ensuring the pupils鈥 complex medical and postural care needs are met. Working closely with your team (a TA and personal care assistants), therapists, specialist support staff and families, you will promote communication through AAC, objects of reference and intensive interaction. You will nurture engagement, wellbeing and independence, celebrating and supporting pupils to make individual progress.
Fountaindale School has a long history of supporting children and young people aged 3 to 18 with a range of physical and sensory needs including PMLD and ASC. At Fountaindale we are passionate that every day matters for children. We have our children at the heart of school development and are unrelenting family champions.
We believe that inspiring young people with their learning is about giving them a sense of belief that they will achieve their potential. We use a child-centred approach that is personalised to each child and offer a purpose-built environment, located in beautiful woodland surroundings, that is vibrant and rich in opportunities.
We have an immersive approach to our curriculum that is thematic throughout the school. Our classrooms are appropriately resourced and allow pupils to work independently and in collaboration together, in fun learning spaces. We believe that learning takes place when children feel safe, stimulated and secure and where kindness, care and self-belief are the foundations to learning.
